Joanna Amberger

Founder, Financial Planner, and Estate Planning Attorney

I founded 3 Financial Group in 2007 as an independent financial services firm empowering professional women and LGBTQ+ individuals. Eventually, I saw a gap that needed to be filled, so I added 3FG Law, providing estate planning and administrative services for Hawaiʻi residents. My approach prioritizes advocacy, transparency, and actionable guidance for long-term strategies, supporting you as you make informed financial and legal decisions that align with what matters to you and what you want to accomplish.

As a military kid who was raised across the US, I developed an early appreciation for diverse cultures, travel, and lifelong learning. I believe in growing where you’re planted and having a sense of pride and ownership in my community, which is why I’ve volunteered with AARP Hawaiʻi’s Speakers Bureau and served as president of the Rotary Club of Honolulu. I have also served on boards for organizations like Planned Parenthood of Hawaii, the National American Association of University Women, the Mediation Center of the Pacific, and the AAUW Honolulu Branch Educational Fund. I currently foster kittens for the Hawaiian Humane Society, have served my country as a soldier and public affairs specialist in the Hawaii Army National Guard, and am a fine-art photographer.
