The 3FG Experience
One Advocate. One Integrated Perspective.
Unless you work in finance, it shouldn’t be your job to manage a team of financial professionals. But that’s exactly what most people find themselves doing–operating as the go between for an advisor who helps with some financial needs and an estate planning attorney who helps with others. It’s up to you to connect the dots, and hopefully, nothing gets overlooked.
Here’s a thought: what if you didn’t have to be the only one staying on top of your whole financial picture? That’s the 3FG experience. We serve as one advocate who keeps your holistic needs in focus and ensures your financial and legal strategies work together intentionally, clearly, and in your best interest.
No more Googling what equity stock means for your long-term plans or researching Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts after you get off work. Here, you have a team that listens first, simplifies complexity, and offers guidance based on what matters to you. The result is a wealth strategy that works for you without you having to work harder.
Wherever You Are in Life, We Meet You There
Life doesn’t move in straight lines, and neither should your financial and legal planning. Whether you’re building momentum, navigating change, or protecting what you’ve already built, 3 Financial Group adapts to where you are and what you need most right now.
Strength in advocacy — when you’re building
You may be advancing in your career, growing your income, or making big decisions for the first time. We help you establish a strong financial foundation so you can focus on your life, build confidence, and reduce decision fatigue. By aligning cash flow, investments, and legal structures, your progress is supported, not undermined.
Flexibility in planning — when you’re navigating change
Life changes can knock your financial strategy for a loop. Career shifts, relocation, marriage or divorce, inheritance, caring for family – these kinds of transitions bring complexity. We step in as an advocate to help you make sense of the moving parts, keep your legal and financial decisions working cohesively, and move forward with intention.
Preservation for what matters most — when you’re protecting and planning your impact
As your wealth and responsibilities grow, so does the importance of thoughtful planning. We help ensure what you’ve built is structured, protected, and preserved, not just for yourself, but also for the people you care about and the legacy you want to leave.
One advocate through every season
No matter what stage you find yourself in, you shouldn’t have to re-explain your story or start over. With 3FG, you have one advocate who understands where you’ve been, where you are, and where you want to go, helping your plan evolve as life does.

Our Process
Too often, financial planning is treated like a checklist that you build once and follow forever. If your goals, values, finances, and relationships are the exact same year after year, that could be sufficient, but we all know that isn’t how real life works.
Instead, our financial planning process is centered around two pillars:
- You need a financial strategy that can change and grow with you. Over the course of your life, your goals, values, and responsibilities will naturally shift. The way your assets and planning tools are used should evolve alongside them. That ongoing process of reflection and adjustment is what we mean by a living financial plan.
- You shouldn’t have to figure out what you need on your own. We do our best work through long-term relationships with our clients. That type of ongoing support allows us to offer you proactive, personalized advice, tackling your goals together by playing the long game. It also means we can provide you with consistent accountability–a support system that we find is essential to helping you grow how and where you want to grow.
Building on these two pillars means our process isn’t linear. No matter how you choose to work with 3 Financial Group, we’ll regularly revisit and discuss each element of your living financial plan to ensure it fits your life right now and helps you thrive by design.
Let’s Start the Conversation
Frequently Asked Questions
Who typically works with 3FG?
We primarily work with women and LGBTQ+ professionals. If that isn’t you, don’t worry. You’ll still find our jargon-free, whole picture approach to be refreshing and empowering.
Do I need to be located in Hawai'i to work with 3FG?
Nope! While our estate planning and administrative services are only for Hawai’i residents, we offer financial planning services for women anywhere in the US. No matter what time zone you’re in, our virtual meetings and planning services are designed to work for and with you.
What happens on the initial call?
You talk, we listen. And if you don’t know what to say or ask, don’t worry – we’ll help steer the conversation toward what matters to you and what you want to accomplish. At the end, you’ll have a clearer picture of your financial goals and confidence for what to do next, whether or not that’s with us.
How do 3FG Wealth and 3FG Law work together?
Have you ever tried to eat a meal with just one chopstick? Case in point. Thanks to growth opportunities, trasfer strategies, and taxes, financial planning and estate planning work best in tandem. Offering both under one roof means you can stop being the one to make sure they play nicely together.
Will I still have separate meetings for financial and legal matters?
Yes. There’s a lot to cover on each side, so while we’ll ensure your financial strategy and estate plan work as one, we’ll still meet separately to discuss each side of your plan.
What if I only need help on the financial side or the legal side?
No problem! We help where you need it and never rope you into more than you’re looking for. If you already have a financial advisor or estate planning attorney, we’ll coordinate with them to help your finances work more effectively for your life and goals.
How are your services priced?
We’re a fee-only advisory, which means NO commissions. Call us old-fashioned, but we’re not into surprise fees, either. Our fees depend on what kind of support you’re looking for, so you only pay for what works for you. You can opt for full-service financial and investment planning with ongoing support and/or estate planning and administration, or, if you’re into an augmented DIY approach, just financial planning.
When are fees discussed?
Day one! When you first meet with us, we’ll tell you in writing how much our services will cost.
Are there minimums or long-term commitments?
We don’t have a minimum asset requirement because we know that everybody has to start somewhere. As long as you’re willing to commit to improving your financial future, we’re happy to work with you. As far as a time commitment, we work with clients on a 12-month contract to allow time our strategies to start gaining traction.
How often do we meet once we’re working together?
We’ll meet once a year to review your financial plan, and/or once a to review your estate plan, but that doesn’t mean you’re on your own for the other 364 days of the year. However you choose to work with us, we offer unlimited support. You can call or email us any time without worrying about a surprise bill.
How often is my plan reviewed?
At minimum, we’ll review your plan once a year. We’ll also review your plan when your life shifts, like when you get that promotion, accept an offer in another state, get married or divorced, etc. We’ll help your strategy to adapt with you in transition, so change doesn’t mean slowed progress.
How do you protect my personal and financial information?
Protecting your privacy is a big deal to us. We follow a strict privacy policy, which you can see here.
